So does anyone else think this whole Toyota recall thing has been suspiciously timed to help out the amercan car dealers at the expense of the Japanese? Maybe these are the openning shots of a trade war with Japan. BTW we export about.
Next to China, they are the biggest contributor to our trade deficit. (60 bil (exports)- 160 bil (imports) = -80 billion per year, mostly from cars). Plus, we can't go after China because they are financing our debt. |

So you are saying the recall is being faked? Or are you saying it is some elaborate plot that was thought up years and years ago by people who control the world, knowing the economy would suck and the American car manufactures would need help because they are in bed together over controlling oil when we all know a car that run on (insert practically free energy source here) is possible but will never see the light of day so long as there is oil and money to be had?

I'm just saying that recalls happen, but they usually don't get this much attention. In fact, I read today that Toyota pulled it's adds off of ABC because of what it calls "excessive coverage of the recall".
"Take the number of vehicles in the field, A, multiply by the probable rate of failure, B, multiply by the average out-of-court settlement, C. A times B times C equals X. If X is less than the cost of a recall, we don't do one." -Tyler |

Attention maybe due to the deaths "caused" by the questionable parts and the media blowing it up, like usual.
Just like the bridgestone tires. The defects resulted in several deaths. No one gives a shit when the recall isn't dangerous. But as soon as the media can blow it up, they will make it out to be some thing big when it really isn't. I think Toyota is just running into some really bad luck. Did you know Honda is recalling air bags in 438,000 vehicles? Probably not, hasn't kill any one yet. |
